Shizuoka translates to “tranquil hills.” It is situated alongside the Pacific Ocean in central east coast of Japan. The optimal growing conditions of dense coastal fog, mild seasons, mineral rich soils and ample sunlight make this matcha revered.

Much of matcha's magic comes from the balance of caffeine and L-Theanine.
Our matcha carries 35mg per serving, which is about 1/3 the amount of an average cup of coffee. While everyone has different tolerance levels of caffeine, most find matcha to be a gentile lift, without jittery sensations or a crash.
L-Theanine is an amino acid that softens the edge of caffeine and provides a calm focused effect without a crash. The majority of the antioxidant contents are called catechin polyphenols, and the most abundant polyphenol is epigallocatechin gallate, or EGCG.
